This coming Sunday (23rd August) a Rock CC XI take on a Rock/Rennington Villagers XI, hopefully weather permitting this time in a game of cricket. Having retreated to Rennington Village Hall a few weeks back to play carpet bowls, as rain put paid to any chance of playing cricket, the Rock CC XI surprisingly beat the opposition out of sight on the carpets. This weekend the Villagers have a chance to exact revenge and cause the cricketers some embarrassment as we try again to play some cricket.
Again in aid of “Help for Heroes” and “The Great North Air Ambulance” we are holding what should be a fantastic spectacle! Well the clothing could be! Bright colours are order of the day.
Tea’s, cakes, sarnies etc will be on sale, probably a bar aswell, Raffles etc.
Last time we raised over £300 for these charities, lets beat that amount out of sight!
