Apologies for no updates last week, but I went AWOL to attend wedding duties.
The hangover is now gone, however the team’s hangover is still hanging over us!
Another drubbing at the hands of League leaders Warenford (no report from Mr Calm as we were so bad), and we are now rooted to the bottom of the table. Not good enough! The talent we have at the club and the way we played at the start of the season, we should be nowhere near the wooden spoon position. This week we have a MAXIMUM strength team out on the field so the boys who are playing should comeback with nothing less than the taste of victory over our local rivals in their mouths!
Consolation at the weekend though, as in a friendly against a rather young Warkworth side we came out on top. Bobby Dodds making 76.
